Best movies 2026 – Oscar winners
At the 98th Academy Awards, One Battle After Another dominated with six Oscars, including Best Picture, Best Director and Best Adapted Screenplay for Paul Thomas Anderson. Sinners earned four awards, with Michael B. Jordan winning Best Actor and Ryan Coogler taking Best Original Screenplay. Frankenstein secured three Oscars, while KPop Demon Hunters won Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song. Jessie Buckley earned Best Actress for Hamnet. Sentimental Value became the first Norwegian film to win Best International Feature. Other winners included F1, Mr. Nobody Against Putin (Best Documentary), Avatar: Fire and Ash, All the Empty Rooms, The Girl Who Cried Pearls, and The Singers.
